Hi Ms. Erica;

Sorry to bother you, but I just want to to tell you that I'm an avid reader of your (and Ala's) blog. I also tried reading blogs of your friends and my personal favorites are Catingka's and Bea Cons'. Unfortunately, they decided to make it private thus I'm limited to your blog and Ala's. By the way, I also read the Sunday edition of
PH Star Newspaper here is the Philippines and I'm always looking forward to read your dad's column. His column really make sense and very relevant.

You know I'm really impressed with your wit and how you manage to put into writings all those ideas of yours. You do it in such a way that we, the readers, vividly understand it and can really symphatize and emphatize with you as you relate to us your wonderful experiences and inpirational stories.

I really envy you guys, I hope I also possess the same ability and talent that you have. You see I'm timid kind of guy. I seldom speaks because I feel that I'm really not good speaker (and writer). I developed this shyness and low self esteem due to this inability to communicate well.I can only hope that I will be able to (still) overcome it bacause I can really see that this is one of hindrances why I couldn't reach those elusive dreams. This is the reason also why I'm having a nervous breakdown just the thought of speaking in public.

By the way, I'm a father of an eight year old girl. She is now in her 2nd grade. Like you, I have a lot of dreams for my litte girl. She is my precious possession and I'll do anything in my capacity to help her succeed in life.

Actually I'm really trying my best and do anything possible in order for my daughter not to end up like me, a person who has a lot of insecurities. I want her to possess the right amount of self confidence and avoid to fall in the same predicament as mine. Hence, when we are at home, I tried to speak to her in English. I commend her for trying her best to reply to me in English, but I could see the frustration in her face whenever she struggle for the right words to say.

Ms. Erica, do you have any idea how I can teach my daughter to become a good speaker? How can I devolope her communication skills specially using the English language. I knew that you and your siblings were graduate of prestigious school, but honestly, I don't have much resources to send my daughter in a prime school nor get her a private tutor.

My apology for seeking an advice from you. I know that it is not the right venue and we are completely strangers to each other. But any help from you will be deeply appreciated.

Nonetheless, if you really don't feel answering it, you may choose to ignore it. I know that it is too much to ask...

Happy New Year to you and to your family. Please don't cease to write and continue blogging and continue to inspire and and reach out to your readers...
