October Update!

Phew! The past month has been a succession of activity and travel. I'm finally home with no plans of leaving for at least the next two weeks for the first time n awhile! My next trip is to Boracay, but not until November. so I'm using this time to get my sh*t together work-wise before my month-long trip to Sydney in December. Woohoo. Can't wait!
The new Cuisine. I went to the re-opening of one of our favorite places to chill with some magazine friends. It ended in mayhem, as usual.
Spent some time with friends I should see more often! Here at Barcino with Chicho, Cla and Sarah

Watched the Apo 40th anniversary concert at Araneta with Mom, Boogie and even Ananda! (although she fell asleep halfway through! It was way past her bed time!)
Met up with the girls at my dad's photo exhibit (minus bea and sarah left by the time we took this photo)
Went short and blond for a day! hahaha! I also have photos with a short, black bob and this sarah palin looking 'do (unintentionally haha!)
Thailand with my relatives. Here on the river cruise with my cousins Lissy, Elaine and Andrea.
Then we went to Siem Reap, Cambodia to visit temples! Up there is Bantay Srei or what they call the Lady Temple since it's pink in color. The second is me at the Bayon Temple in Angkor Thom (I got in trouble for that photo! heehee) and lastly, watching the sunrise at Angkor Wat. I love Cambodia!!!!
Lastly, we jumped our way through Saigon! The first photo was taken at the Post Office, the second at the legendary Rex Hotel and the last one was at the Reunification Palace.
THe night we got back was also Elaine and Andrea's last night before going back to the States, so Boogie and I brought them to Cuisine and Embassy!
Sandro's little girl Sachi turned one and had a backyardigans themed bash!
El NIdo, Palawan for a shoot with Sarah. I brought Ananda and Andrea too! We finished the shoots quickstyle, so we had time to do all the fun stuff like snorkeling, kayaking etc.
Lastly, last weekend, I went to Bora for the 1st anniversary of the Tides! I'll be back on the island in a couple weeks. Thank God for Palawan and Bora trips, I have a tan once more yipee!

The next few weeks will be dedicated to work, work, work!

Peace Out!

Viva la vida

...according to Coldplay, and I agree.

It's been awhile! I remember when I started blogging 4 years ago, I would post something new every single day, sometimes even twice a day. It started when Ananda was born and I had nothing to do while she was asleep, and also because I was just too excited about being a mom to keep anything in. Then, it turned into therapy, and a way to release emotions and trapped energy I accumulated through out the day. Everyone knew everything about my life. I hid nothing. Maybe I'm more mature now (!!!), because I don't feel the need to divulge every single detail anymore.

I find myself going through days, weeks, even months without blogging, and when I do, I end up just posting photos or talking about useless things. I know some people who used to love reading my blog are super bored now, but oh well. Maybe I'll go back to the long, insightful entries and sharing my thoughts and opinions, but for now, I'm happy with just rambling. Maybe tomorrow I'll be in the mood to say something real, then just post photos again the next day.

Maybe I'm just too busy living :)

My girls, minus Vicky, who has abandoned us to have another child :p---If Lisette and Dee could be here then I'd be one happy camper!
My boyfriend, who after two and a half years, I still find so cute hahaha!- In our matching plaid shirts haha.
I saved the best for last- the keeper of my heart forever and ever, the wonderful, little girl who changed my life!

My Wish List

Things I want right now, just because!

1. Canon Powershot G9
I realized I'm unhappy with my Fuji Finepix camera (which I got on sale in Australia last January) I want a nice, easy to use digital camera that will make my photos look like they are professional hehe. Perfect for all the food photos I love to take! Plus, I hate how my camera takes so long to focus!

2. Vintage dresses

No matter what trends come and go, what different looks I try out every so often, I realized my heart is really in vintage. I just got a few dresses and tops yesterday from Ukay. Cute 70's flower child dresses that I can't wait to accessorize with boots and gold accessories. I want more.

3. Black biker boots and White Doc Martens
Wala lang. I'm kind of feeling the whole 90's grunge look also-updated and less scruffy though.

4. A gold iPod
Not a shuffle though. Wala lang, just because! haha.

5. Tickets to Panic at the Disco and Rick Astley.
-Anybody????

6. Gift Certificates to Blow up babies.

7. A potbellied pig or teacup chihuahua or yorkie
So cute. Waaaaah. I've been dreaming of one for the past month!
We have two yorkies, and neither of them is as cute as this!!!!

SIGH. Perhaps The Secret will get me everything on this list? But money may be a better option. I wish I Wish I Wish.

Monthly Update

It's been awhile since I last updated. What was once a fun part of my daily routine has become harder fro me to bring myself to do regularly because I've been so busy, and by the end of the day I'm just too tired to do anything other than read in bed, listlessly watch tv, or just crash.

Updates from the last time I posted:
I have a new boyfriend! Who also happens to be my ex-boyfriend. After much thought and contemplation, we decided to be together. So far, so good. It's been a moth and a half.
Went to Camarines Sur with the Metro team for a shoot and parties for us! In this photo are Kelly, our Associate Editor Bianca, Me, Hair stylist Jerry and Make-up artist Barbi.
Copying the Joel (or Jesse) Mendez ad at the Manila airport hehe. L-R Bianca, Photographer Noelle, Me, one of my closest friends Jon who was visiting from NY, Barbi and our Senior Associate Editor Audrey.
Watched my first Kjwan gig in a REALLY long time. Since possibly before Christmas 2007.
Celebrated his birthday quietly this year. Kjwan gig Tagaytay
Celebrated one of my favorite girls' Vicky's 18th (!!!) birthday. haha. L-R Vicky, Bea, Me and Pam
The same people with the addition of Jon, Tollo and Gina. It was a quiet, early night but we managed to get tipsy ;p
Some of my favorite people to hang out with-whether it's going out to dance, drinking at my house or just being silly on a street corner-it's always fun times.
Celebrated my favorite little girl's birthday with a Dora swimming party. Thanks to global warming, her usually rainy June 7 birthday was sunny and extremely HOT.
Mom and Ninong Jon stealing candy from the children. Ha ha ha.
Fashion editorial by the dirty ice cream cart. For some reason, whenever I'm with these two, the day always ends in camwhoring.
Random nights out with party animal Jon. Here with Gina at Tabu for Soul Food.
Embassy for their Independence Day Party on *DUH* June 12. haha.
I was kinda of masungit for a few weeks in June because I quite smoking.

YES, I QUIT SMOKING!
I QUIT SMOKING!
UNBELIEVABLY CRAZY BUT TRUE.

It's been 3 weeks and 6 days. One month tomorrow! I seriously deserve a prize.

Sold my This Kid Loves Vintage clothes at the Hippie Flea Market at A.venue Makati
My daughter was running around screaming "Buy from our store. We have the bestest clothes." haha.
A few more Kjwan gigs. Only when it's near my house and/or there are chairs to sit on hehe.
Marveling at how pretty my daughter is becoming! Here at the salon after a trim.
Metrowear at Rockwell Tent. First ever with our new EIC and 50% new staff. Well done everyone! Later on, met up with Patring and Martin at Grams Diner.
Pigged out (SERIOUSLY, We were soooooo matakaw!) at The Fireplace at Hyatt Hotel and Casino. The food is sooooo good.
My absolute favorite food in the whole world-Foie Gras. It's bad for you, it makes you dizzy, Peta folks will hate me, but I don't care.
Wild mushroom risotto with truffle oil. Why oh why does truffle oil have to be so expensive? If I had my way I'd add it to everything.
Rosemary Garlic lamb chops with lamb jus. I love lamb also. I don't understand how people can not.
Rib Eye steak and potato au gratin. I told you we pigged out. I didn't even photograph Boogie's French Onion soup and for dessert we had Mango Dacquoise with Malibu ice cream. Yum.

Went to Kuala Lumpur for a press launch of their Mega Sale Carnival. Above at KL Tower and below with the Petronas towers in the background (on a cloudy day!) Shopped too much. Oh well, if you cant' smoke, you shop.

And that's all for now folks.
